We’re excited to be sharing Chad and Janelle’s Real Wedding, sent in by the lovely Shannon of Shannon Valente Weddings! Here’s what Shannon had to say about the wedding…
A crisp October day Chad and Janelle tied the knot at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Banff, followed by a flower filled reception at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The mother of the groom happened to be a retired florist, so there was no shortage of flowers, a wedding planners dream!
The ceremony was simple with a solo guitarist and wonderfully quirky anecdotes from Father Jerome.
The reception room was warm and bright with pops of pink, red and gold. The tables were dressed with chiavari chairs, champagne linens, macaron wedding favours and fresh blooms.
The wedding cake sat on a wood pedestal, handcrafted by the bride’s father. A delicious coconut cake (the same kind, from the same bakery Chad had scoured the city to find for Janelle on one of their first dates)
They were such a fun couple to work with and the day was brimming with personal touches, laughter, family and friends.
