It’s been just over a month since fashion and beauty influencer Olivia Palermo celebrated her 10-year wedding anniversary to German model Johannes Huebl. The couple was joined by 64 of their closest friends and family to celebrate this milestone in style. In 2014, Palermo and Huebl tied the knot in a small civil ceremony in Bedford, New York. This pair had since been waiting for the perfect time to have their big wedding moment, and after 10 years, the moment finally came. The weekend-long celebration occurred at the end of June and was a fashionable affair that perfectly reflected its hosts.
Venue
The anniversary celebration occurred at the Brenners Park Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, Germany. The couple visited this luxurious hotel in 2012 and loved the property so much they chose to return for their 10-year anniversary event.
Nestled in the Black Forest, Baden-Baden is a picturesque town renowned for its luxurious spas and rich cultural heritage. Located in the heart of this town, the Brenners Park Hotel and Spa is a distinguished retreat known for its timeless luxury, serene ambiance, and world-class spa experiences. With Michelin-starred dining options and impeccable service, there is no question why this venue was chosen.
Dresses
In 2014, Palermo went viral for her custom civil ceremony look by Carolina Herrera; her cashmere sweater, shorts and overlay skirt took social media by storm and established her as one of the internet’s top fashion girls. The popularity of her first wedding look increased the anticipation for this event, as fashion enthusiasts watched excitedly to see what she would wear, and Palermo did not disappoint.
Over the weekend, Olivia Palermo wore five unique dresses showcasing her love for fashion and her personal style. As guests gathered along the Oos River for the cocktail reception, Palermo got ready in a short pink dress by New York-based brand Simkhai.
When the time came to greet her guests, Olivia changed into the first of three gowns designed by longtime friend Giambattista Valli. The exquisite haute couture dress featured off-the-shoulder sleeves and a voluminous skirt that felt perfect for a classic yet fashion-forward first look.
After eating a locally sourced meal at the Wintergarten Restaurant, the guests moved into the Fritz & Felix restaurant for an after-party inspired by member-only clubs in London. To match the mood, Olivia changed into a black sequin halter dress by Bronx and Banco, which was the perfect outfit to dance the night away in.
The next day, guests gathered at Iffezheim Racecourse to observe the horses, eat lunch and sip rosé. Olivia was breathtaking in her second Giambattista Valli gown, a green high-low silk taffeta dress paired with a black duchesse belt tied into a bow. The green colour of this dress demonstrates that Palermo isn’t afraid of being non-traditional, opting to have more of a fashion moment at this event.
For the final event, Olivia and Johannes hosted a dinner and wine pairing event at the Michelin-star restaurant Ebanat on the grounds of the Kopp Winery. Palermo looked beautiful in her third and final Giambattista Valli ensemble, which featured a sequin embroidered two-piece set and a draped silk chiffon cape placed over top. This show-stopping look undoubtedly left her guests speechless and was the perfect look to end an extraordinary weekend.
Decor
Palermo and Huebl worked closely with the events team at the Brenners Park Hotel & Spa to bring their vision to life, and they seemed to spare no expense when it came to their decor.
At the Friday night dinner reception, guests were guided to the venue on a vibrant hot pink carpet flanked by archways of fresh greenery, delicate floral spheres, and tall pink floral arrangements in elegant wicker pedestal vases, creating a picturesque setting.
Inside the Wintergarten Restaurant was a long rectangular table that ran the length of the dining room. This table was adorned with moss, candles, florals and cherry blossom arrangements. Fabric and lights were draped from the ceiling, creating a romantic atmosphere that got moodier when the sun went down.
At the Saturday night dinner reception, The Ebanat restaurant was set up with multiple rectangular tables. In the spirit of sustainability, Olivia and Johannes chose to reuse the flowers from the previous events. The florals also helped add a softness to the venue’s contemporary architecture. The venue had floor-to-ceiling windows that offered stunning views of the vineyard. To bring some of the outside in, Palermo chose to add grapes to the decor.
We love that Palermo and Huebl took a unique approach to their wedding journey; it serves as a great reminder that no two weddings or marriages are the same and that the “wedding moment” can happen at any point in a marriage and still be great.
