From the Creative Team:
This modern, art-deco wedding celebrates 2SLGBTQ+ love at The Novella in Winnipeg, Manitoba with inspiration from notes of 1990s indulgence and edgeThis modern, art-deco wedding-inspiration shoot has notes of 1990s indulgence and edge (with a sprinkle of rock n’ roll). The colour palette brought together Rich deep terracotta tones with accents of cream, white, soft dried greens, and pops of lilac and amethyst, creating a mod-desert vibe.
This modern wedding highlights the best that Winnipeg has to offer, featuring a new Manitoba wedding venue, The Novella, located in Winnipeg and created by Collective Rentals. Amanda Douglas Events (Wedding Planning and Design) and Christina W. Kroeker Creative (Wedding Photography) brought together a team of vendors excited to celebrate 2SLGBTQ+ love in Manitoba. Both Amanda and Christina are certified Equally Wed Inclusive.
Mackenzie Clark and Sam Dubas, an engaged Winnipeg couple, modeled outfits designed and made by Mercedes from Maison Corazon. Mackenzie donned a pair of Maison Corazon’s black Romeo pants, along with a black Kiss vest with two heart pins from Meg Does Pottery. Their hair was courtesy of Prep Hair, with hairpieces and jewelry by Luna and Stone, and their makeup was done by members of The Artist Groupe. G is for Glasses provided a few pairs of sunglasses to complete the lewks. The couple’s service dog Molly assisted and joined in on the photo fun too!
Chocolate Zen Bakery created delicious cakes for the shoot, including a gluten-free option with decadent buttercream in a traditional piping design, giving a nod back to the 1990s. Rentals, including linens, were provided by Collective Event Rentals and Simply Perfect Decor. The floral arrangements, with rich oranges paired with creams and blushes, were designed and provided by The Floral Fixx. Rae and Dot Studio provided the modern and timeless stationery suite, with a trendy arch design, including menus, table numbers, and vow cards.
Kirsten from Evergreen Films captured this shoot on video, and Christina W. Kroeker Creative photographed it for your enjoyment.
