Classic romance played a central theme for Christie-Lee and Francesco’s beautiful Rocky Mountain wedding day, with pops of pink throughout the decor. From the draped ceremony to the vintage gold centre pieces, no detail was spared to create an ambiance that would leave guests breathless. Set in the beautiful Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, and planned and designed by the Lynn Fletcher Weddings Team, this wedding is full of Pinterest worthy details! Being from Edmonton, most of our guests made at least a four hour trip to be at our wedding. We decided on a destination wedding because we wanted our guests to have a memorable experience at our wedding, and we wanted to have a special weekend out of town with our close family and friends. We wanted something beautiful and romantic, and for everyone to have a great time and dance like crazy!
We kept our wedding quite classic, but we added many details that made it unique to us and our relationship. We met in a confectionery, so we added a sign to our dessert table that said “C & F Confectionary”. We also named each reception table after a country or city we have travelled to together, and we made a music playlist for before the ceremony and during dinner that included music from artists we have seen in concert. For something old, we even had the first flower Francesco ever gave to me-it was dried and glued to a copy of Romeo and Juliet, which was displayed at the reception. Our ceremony was made to be unique to us, as we picked our readings, had a Celtic hand fasting ceremony for Christie-Lee’s Scottish heritage, and wrote our own vows. Also, our dog Wallie made a special appearance during family photos!
