It’s a hot one on the blog today! We are OBSESSED with Tawnia and Shawn’s engagement session, photographed by Paisley Photography. Not only is it filled with amazing moments of love, it gives us a little peak into what being in love with one of Calgary’s heroes is really like.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn & Tawnia this month at their fire hall engagement session. When Tawnia and I were first discussing what her and Shawn wanted to do for their engagement session she mentioned that Shawn has been a firefighter at station 23 for the Calgary Fire Department for the last 4 years. Immediately I knew that a firehall session was the perfect way to start their engagement photos. Being able to include such a huge part of their lives, and the reason both Shawn and Tawnia moved to Calgary from Toronto in their engagement session was the perfect way to kick off their session. Then it was off to Pierce Estate Park in Inglewood for the remainder of their shoot. I asked them how they met, and they told me that they actually went to high school together, but didn’t actually take notice of each other until they both ended up at
the same crowded bar on St. Paddy’s day. Their amazing love story doesn’t stop there, Shawn carried Tawnia’s amazing rose gold engagement ring as they backpacked around Thailand, then got down on one knee under a sea of stars on a deserted Thai beach!Swoon Worthy! They are now planning a Mexican destination wedding in May 2016, so heading down to the water for the remainder of the session way the perfect way to end it! I can not say enough good things about Shawn & Tawnia. Their love is absolutely and utterly contagious. It was such a pleasure meeting both of them and hearing all about their upcoming Mayan wedding day!
