Can’t you just picture it? Your event becomes seamless with the beautiful outdoor surroundings as you pull back the walls of the impressive tent; rolling pastures and mountain views become natural backdrops. Create your own room: keep it simple if that’s your style, or go all out with gorgeous photo-opp vignettes, lighting of your choice, a stage and dancefloor for that talented band you saw hype up your local pub, elegant harvest tables with old-fashioned chairs and rustic benches, and your favourite-coloured napkin at each impeccably-trimmed setting. You’re getting excited, aren’t you!
Now what?
The best place to start is a consultation with a tent expert. At Great Events Rentals, we have two, with combined experience of over thirty-five years, and they’re ready to sit down with you to map out your provisional wedding venue.
You’ll need to gather a few details.
How many guests? How would you like them seated or otherwise arranged in the room? How will you feed them? Will you need a stage? Perhaps a dance floor?
You’ll also need to consider the location. Few spaces within the city limits allow private tents to be erected on public property, especially without permits. Your own property is a wonderful choice if you have the space in your yard. You’ll have the comfort of home right at hand and can potentially house a few of your guests-if you’re into that! Perhaps use a relative’s land outside the city for an extra-special rural experience.

Our tent managers will help you pick the right style and size of tent, calculate the number of tables you’ll need, set a day for a site visit and impart a quote. They’ll provide you with the information you’ll need to get arrange for Alberta One Call (please note this will be your responsibility) as well any other inspections that could apply.
