Real Bride Leah was dreaming of an elegant and romantic wedding to her fianc Peter, and so it comes as no surprise that they settled on the historic Fairmont Banff Springs. “The Fairmont Banff Springs provided a venue that was timeless and sophisticated, setting the stage for our dream wedding.” Leah’s soft, flowing Lillen wedding gown and her bridesmaids blush dresses paired perfect with Peter and the groomsmen’s sharkskin grey suits. The Banff Springs lends itself to a period of opulance and grandeur. When Leah and Peter decided on this spot for their wedding, we knew it would be like taking a step back in time. She selected a neutral and romantic colour palette including blush pink and ivory with accents of gold. They had a large wedding party (8 attendants on each side) so finding a dress to complement all of the bridesmaids could have been a big challenge. Choosing a versatile "convertible" dress allowed each bridesmaid to customize the top part of the dress and make it uniquely their own while still keeping a similar and uniform look overall. The couple's Korean heritage played an important role in the wedding from the traditional costumes, the ceremony at St. Peter's, and the tea ceremony afterwards. For the reception, guests stepped into the Cascade Ballroom where tables were adorned in classic ivory. Similar, yet different floral centerpieces in taller and lower containers provided interest in the room. A large feast table in the center of the room was set-up for the wedding party, including dramatic crystal candelabras with lush floral arrangements.
