Peach Pampas Rocky Mountain Styled Shoot

This shoot, photographed by Calgary wedding photographer Paisley Photography, is featured in the latest edition of Confetti, on newsstands now!

The main thought for this shoot is synergy – two parts, when combined, creating something greater than just the sum of the parts. Throughout this styled shoot, each piece is beautiful and intriguing on its own, but the collective is a spectacular feast for the eyes.

Throughout the shoot there are incredible scenes that have layer upon layer of beautiful pieces. Each guest table, the desserts setup on an antique wood dresser, and even the delightful little candy bar.  Each have an array of exquisite individual items including stunning floral arrangements, the exquisite mixed-matched antique china stacks all perfectly pair together. The simple hand painted cake, cute meringues and macaroons, and the striking cherry blossom trees behind the head table, the beautiful linens, all the way down to the smaller details like menus and sweet little tea tins are all perfectly layered to create the overall feel. It really is the overall combination of everything together that is the most striking.

The delicate elegance of the reception setting is contrasted by a rugged elegance in the ceremony setting. The ring of flowing pampas grass anchored with greenery perfectly frames the teal Rocky Mountain River and its rocky river bank while providing a jaw-dropping backdrop for a wedding. The navy bridesmaids’ dresses, the charcoal grey suits of the groom and groomsmen, and the crisp white lace bridal gown add a contrast to the muted colours of the pampas grass and the river bank that creates an overall stunning scene.
