The nature of Canadian art reflects diverse origins, as artists have taken their traditions from all over the world and adapted them to reflect the reality of life in Canada. A group of landscape painters called The Group of Seven aimed to develop the first distinctly Canadian style of painting. They, along with other revolutionary painters such as Emily Carr and Tom Thompson, painted many notable works while on location in the backcountry of Canada’s wilderness. This table decor was inspired by the magnificent Lake Louise, and incorporates some ideologies derived from Canadian naturalist art. Designed for locks by Cory Christopher, this artistic tables-cape exemplifies innovative design, and perfectly complement the grandeur of the Canadian Rockies.
