From the photographer:

Calgary’s fashion scene is evolving at a rapid pace and it’s definitely an exciting time to be a designer. Canada’s fastest growing major city is increasingly being recognized for its creativity and talent. Nicole Rita Tomney of NRT Fashions has recently released her Bridal Couture line of bridal gowns, lingerie, veils and more. Each piece is custom made to order, designed, and tailored to meet the needs of each individual bride. Romantic. Elegant. Intricate. Hand made. These are just a few terms that describe these insanely stunning and very unique wedding dresses. What makes these dresses so different? With a sophisticated approach, these gowns show the elegance of a woman’s body. From beautifully cut body suits to layered, sheer + flowing tulle skirts, all details are designed to focus on a woman’s beautiful + unique shape and all gowns are hand made locally. And we were very fortunate to have the beautiful and creative designer Nicole model her gowns for us in this styled shoot.

In order to showcase the intricate detail and romance of these gowns, we selected a Loft in downtown Calgary to keep a modern and clean aesthetic and incorporated our love of the Geometric Trend by including a 10 foot gold triangle as our focal point adorned with elegant greenery + hanging geometric terrariums. Geometric lanterns with white candles further enhanced the space and added depth and dimension. Our table was set with gold cutlery and elegant blue + crystal glassware which played beautifully with the blue table settings. We further incorporated shape by including geometric cut stationary and clear ghost chairs to keep the aesthetic clean.

No styled shoot is complete without a couple of good looking men. We were very lucky to have our male models dressed by Suits by Curtis Elliott and the actual designer himself Matthew Ivan Eaton, model for us. Another incredible Alberta designer putting his stamp on upcoming fashion trends, SUITS by Curtis Eliot is an international custom made menswear company. They strive to give their clients the opportunity to experience an old-fashioned tailor service with a modern twist. Each garment is custom designed and fitted to each individual, allowing clients to select the fit, fabric and style of each of their designs. They specialize in made-to-measure suits, topcoats, dress shirts, dress pants and shorts. The guys at Suits by Curtis Eliot know that buying a custom tailored suit is hard and expensive so they decided to make it simple and affordable.
