Tracy and Adam’s wedding at the Calgary Zoo is so sugary sweet! A classic day that fused traditional Chinese wedding elements and modern Western elements, Tracy and Adam started their journey with a Chinese tea ceremony and an imitate garden wedding at the Zoo. Followed up with a reception that included one of the CUTEST purple and yellow wedding cakes we’ve ever seen and a funky take on a seating chart, it’s a totally memorable Calgary wedding that we’re excited to share! Not only did Tracy and Adam blend a family on their wedding day, but they blended age old traditions and modern wedding elements too. They wanted to honour Tracy’s Chinese heritage with traditonal Chinese games and Tea Ceremony yet host a Canadian wedding with a modern twist. Tracy got ready at the Westin Hotel in Calgary Alberta with the buzz and excitement of her friends and family preparing for their traditional Chinese Ceremony Festivities. Accents of bright red were everywhere as Tracy elegantly slipped into her red Chinese wedding dress. Her friends had prepared a morning of games for the groom and his groomsmen to demonstrate his worthiness to the waiting Bride. After the games ended and laughter quieted in the adjacent room to the bridal suite, Tracy emergd to the roar of more love and celebration of Adams commitment to Tracy through his demonstration of courage, humility and love. Together they honoured their guests with a tea ceremony.
