Effortless & Chic Rooftop Wedding in East Village

Amazing food, amazing style and incredible love, is there anything better than that? Tanner and Daniella hosted their family for a modern and effortless Calgary wedding on of the rooftop of Charbar, overlooking The Bow River. The rooftop at Charbar provides the perfect views of our city, and celebrates not just the love between a couple, but the love of the foothills as well. From the Creative Team:

Tanner & Daniella knew they wanted an easy wedding day, with a relaxing and uncomplicated schedule. This meant an evening ceremony, no seated dinner and some of the best views in the city. Daniella knew that she wanted an effortless look – so all the bridal party and groomsmen were dressed in separates in different colours and patterns. She had custom hand-made earrings made and imported for her bridesmaids, as a nod to her Colombian heritage. The wedding took place at their favourite restaurant, Charbar – where they said their vows on the rooftop at sunset. Their 3-month old son even made a ceremony appearance, making for a picture perfect moment. Massive grazing tables of locally sourced fresh fruit, crudites, charcuterie and cheese was presented, along with a live action tequila flambe station and custom canapes (mini beef empanadas for him, mini Merguez sausage hotdogs for her). A live latin-music duo meant dancing early in the evening, while Tanner & Daniella snuck off for photos all over East Village. When an early noise complaint came in, the venue and DJ’s were quick to move the group inside for a second dance party – the night was filled with purple gin & tonics, dancing until the lights came on and massive, juicy Alley burgers as a midnight snack.
