Elegant Winter Estate Wedding

No matter what your feelings about winter, you have to admit – snow can be absolutely magical. The way it sparkles in the light – the way it dances as it falls. For those of us who are wedding obsessed, it feels like another way Mother Nature likes to add her own decor to wedding days.

Jamie and Randy embraced the beauty of Alberta's snow for their January wedding day. Using sparkling neutrals and touches of navy, they embraced a celestial feel for their wedding decor and the fresh blanket for snow at Norland Estate was the perfect accessory for their wedding day. What started out as a very chilly weekend turned into a perfect January day, with temperatures above zero and a golden hour for the ages.

Photographed by Calgary wedding photographer Oscar Hanzley Photography, we love the details of Jamie and Randy's wedding day. By letting the beauty of Lethbridge wedding venue The Norland Estate do it's magic, they accented their ceremony with champagne hued chivari chairs and navy and gold sparkling ceremony signage. Jamie's bridal style of a strapless sweetheart gown with a flowing A-line skirt was romantic and light. Her bridesmaids shimmered in champagne gowns and her maid-of-honour wore a navy gown with champagne detailing to match the decor of the day.

From the photographer:

Jamie and Randy's wedding was held on beautiful estate on a beautiful, sunny January day and the weather could not be more perfect.

We had spent days checking the weather forecast as it was -25C for couple weeks leading to wedding, looking for options where to take photos indoor. On Friday night we had -10, and staying positive it is gonna get better for Saturday morning. By the time ceremony ended we had cozy +3C and beautiful golden hour.

The venue is beautiful and was important to the bride. When Jamie was a teenager, she spent some time at Norland estate with her mom, who worked there at that time. She fell in love with this place so much she knew, when she gets married one day, this will be her dream venue.
Few years later her dream came true and she got to marry the love of her life.
