French Chateau Estate Wedding

From the Creative Team:

This french chateau estate wedding was originally set for August 15, 2020, but like most couples, this wedding had to be postponed. This was devastating news that erupted into a scramble to reschedule all our vendors. Looking at it now, the delay created an even more incredible day.

When the couple postponed, they had no idea the groom’s parents would come to purchase their new home ‘Terre Blanche’. The French Chateau estate was the perfect venue for their European-style wedding with neutral tones, beamed ceilings, crystal chandeliers and a large spiral staircase.

By switching venues to a residential property their wedding was more intimate than initially planned, which gave them more time in the day for each other. They shared their first look in the afternoon on the spiral staircase, before taking photos with their small bridal party and immediate family.

With their first look and photos out of the way, the bride didn’t think she’d cry during the ceremony… But their officiant wrote such a beautiful ceremony that was so true to them and their love for one another.

After the ceremony, they enjoyed being able to attend their cocktail hour, welcoming all our guests into the house for a champagne toast and canapés. Throughout the cocktail hour, they had a string duo play “classics” including requested songs ‘Wildest Dreams’ and ‘Island in the Sun’!

One of the most memorable moments for the bride was when they snuck out of the reception to practice their first dance. Having that moment alone, dancing in front of the fountain helped to calm their nerves and reconnect! It truly felt like magic as the fountain lights turned on.

Once all the speeches, games and special dances were done, the party began! It just happened to be that their neighbour was having a September long weekend party, so they of course crashed it! The majority of their guests joined them racing through the neighbour’s inflatable obstacle course. It took very little persuasion for the bride to join in (FOMO), attempting the course in her wedding dress; everyone said all they saw was a ball of tulle.
