From the Creative Team:
Shelby and Parker’s rain-kissed lakeside wedding at their family cabin in Blind Bay, BC, was one of those rare celebrations that felt effortlessly meaningful. Surrounded by nature, their closest loved ones, and a few surprise rain showers, the day unfolded with emotion, spontaneity, and joy — a perfect reflection of who they are.
A Peaceful Morning at the Cabin
The day began with calm, quiet moments as Shelby and Parker got ready in separate parts of the family cabin — a place already rich with memories. The energy was warm and relaxed, filled with laughter, happy nerves, and the buzz of what was to come. There was something incredibly grounding about being in a familiar space, surrounded by people they love, on such a meaningful day.
First Look & Private Vows
Before the ceremony, we ventured to a nearby open field for Shelby and Parker’s first look. It was one of the most emotional parts of the day. As they saw each other for the first time, everything else seemed to melt away. The moment felt quiet and sacred, as they exchanged private vows with only the breeze and tall grasses as witnesses.
This intimate space gave them a chance to slow down and be fully present — a gentle pause before the festivities. Afterward, we spent some time capturing portraits of the couple and their wedding party. Everyone was in high spirits, even as the sky began to darken.

Raindrops & Wedding Portraits
As we wrapped up wedding party photos, the rain made its first appearance. While it did cut the photo session a bit short, no one let it dampen the mood. Umbrellas popped open, laughter continued, and everyone was ready to roll with it — the best kind of energy to have on a wedding day.

A Lakeside Ceremony Under the Tents
Back at the cabin, the ceremony was held on the lawn overlooking the lake — a breathtaking natural setting that needed no decoration. And in true “better safe than sorry” fashion, the couple had rented tents just the day before… which turned out to be the perfect call. As the rain came down, guests stayed dry under the cozy cover, while Shelby and Parker stood in front of the lake and exchanged vows with full hearts.
The sound of rain on the tent, the soft mist over the water, and the couple’s unwavering focus on each other made the whole ceremony feel cinematic — beautifully imperfect in all the right ways.

Dinner, Speeches & A Dance to Remember
As the evening unfolded, guests gathered for dinner and a series of heartfelt toasts. Family and friends shared stories that had everyone laughing, tearing up, and cheering. It was clear how loved Shelby and Parker are — and how deeply they love in return.
Their first dance was nothing short of magical, lit by warm tent lights and framed by the gentle sounds of the lake and rain. It was quiet, romantic, and completely them.

Party Mode
Later in the evening, Shelby changed into a short, playful white dress — ready to hit the dance floor and celebrate in style. The music turned up, shoes came off, and the party came alive with dancing, cake, and late-night joy. It was one of those receptions where no one wanted the night to end — where the energy was real, the connections were strong, and every moment felt like a memory in the making.

A Day That was Perfectly Theirs
Shelby and Parker’s wedding wasn’t just beautiful — it was intentional, deeply personal, and full of love. From misty lake views to dancing in the rain, their celebration embraced both the unexpected and the unforgettable. It was an honor to document their story and capture a day they’ll never forget — rain and all.
