Stop it right now – some days, the prettiness is all consuming and today is one of those days! Erica and Drew say I Do in the Rocky Mountains, at Emerald Lake Lodge (one of my favourite places on the entire planet) and the fabulous Minted.Photography was there as their Rocky Mountain wedding photographer to catch it. With bridesmaids in sweet mint and a gorgeous decor palette of pastels and natural greenery, we are all about this fresh and sweet Rocky Mountain wedding! Drew and Erica’s love story began on an annual wine tour with all of Erica’s friends. They hit it off so quickly that they all thought Drew was a best friend friend from high school. Erica, a native from Wisconsin and Drew, an outdoorsmen from Minnesota fell head over heels while making memories boating, fishing and spending lots of time with family and friends. The day before the 3rd annual wine tour, Drew got down on one knee…in his fishing boat, in the pouring rain. It was a memory that will last a lifetime. The next day, they were able to share the news with all their friends and family and celebrate the same way they first met.
It was only appropriate for them to have an outdoor wedding, near water and beautiful mountain tops. And what better place than the stunning Emerald Lake Lodge. Neither had visited Banff before, but they fell in love with photos of the turquoise blue waters and decided that was the spot they would say “I do”. Nine months later, twenty of their closest family and friends gathered to celebrate their marriage. The day was absolutely perfect and the The Canadian Rocky Mountains scenery was spectacular.
