This modern romance wedding was thrown several curveballs as building a life in Toronto is never easy, however, they didn’t let that get them down or stop this gorgeous red, white and black wedding from being a show stopper. The stunning gold detailing and gorgeous wedding cake had this couple dancing all night long.
From the Creative Team:
From having to cancel their initial destination wedding for August, to not having their parents in attendance due to the travel ban as a result of the Omnicron variant, Schola & Tolu were one of my couples that refused to allow the many curveballs thrown by Covid stop them from getting married.
The morning started out with the couple getting ready in rooms right next to each other, which made it quite convenient for the media team to capture moments seamlessly and without hassle. Schola looked absolutely stunning – like a true princess in her ball gown and floor length veil.
Another beautiful and emotion – laden moment was when Tolu got to see his bride as she was walked down the aisle by her siblings who got to represent her parents who could no longer make their wedding.
Once the ceremony was over, I was able to whisk the couple away, while guests got to enjoy cocktails and drinks in the lobby. After having worked on Schola’s vision of a wedding style that was luxurious yet modern and minimal in it’s entirety, it was truly a privilege to see the sparkle in her eyes and smile on her face as they walked into the beautifully decorated reception hall for her “room reveal”. Her love for abstract lines, modern elements, clean details and sparkle was reflected in almost every detail, from the gorgeous cake with marble and gold line details to the guest menu with a minimalist gold foil detail, it was a truly beautiful and stunning atmosphere.
Thanks to the MC and DJ the rest of the night was filled with moments of romance, energy and lots of dance, dance, dance. It was definitely a day to remember!
