Vibrant Summer Garden Wedding

From the Creative Team:

From the start, Sola and Peter knew they wanted a wedding that felt vibrant, lively, and full of personality. “We really love the brightness and vibrancy of a garden and felt it most felt like us,” Sola shared. That vision came to life beautifully at The Inn. Lush florals, warm summer light, and heartfelt moments set the tone for an unforgettable day.

Nestled just minutes from downtown Calgary, The Inn on Officers’ Garden is steeped in charm and history. Once the site of a historic visit by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the venue offers a timeless blend of heritage and modern elegance. It was the perfect setting for Sola and Peter’s joyful, floral-filled celebration.

The ceremony was held outdoors. A perfectly manicured garden courtyard surrounded by bursts of colourful blooms echoed the joy and love shared by the couple and their guests. Every detail — from the floral arrangements to the personalized vows — reflected their story and style: romantic, fresh, and deeply genuine.

Fashion played a stunning role in bringing their vision to life. The bride looked timeless in a classic off-the-shoulder ball gown. Paired with a flowing cathedral-length veil added a touch of ethereal drama. Peter stood out in a sleek tan suit with a black tie. It was a stylish contrast to his groomsmen, who wore sharp black suits that echoed the formality of the day. The bridesmaids added modern sophistication in mismatched black dresses, each one unique in style. Their all-black attire allowed the vibrant, colourful bouquets to truly pop. It beautifully tied together the garden theme with a bold and elegant twist.

Inside the historic venue, the reception carried on the garden theme with elegant decor. The juxtaposition of old-world charm and contemporary design created a welcoming atmosphere. Guests felt both the weight of history and the lightness of love.

Sola and Peter’s wedding was more than just a celebration — it was a beautiful chapter in a love story that continues to bloom.
