Suzanne and Kevin’s wedding at Lago Bar & Grill blended modern elegance with nostalgic charm, all wrapped in a vibrant retro–music theme. With the Ottawa River as the backdrop, the entire day felt like a love letter.
The morning set the tone in the most joyful way. As the girls got ready, the room buzzed with vintage pop energy. There was dancing, laughing, and even rehearsing a TikTok routine to ABBA. It was a fitting nod to the couple’s love of classic hits.
The ceremony and reception spaces brought the theme to life with both beauty and whimsy. A grand floral arch, reminiscent of album-cover glamour, framed their vows before being repurposed as the backdrop to the sweetheart table. A vibrant floral wall served as a retro-inspired photo booth. It gave guests the perfect place to strike their best vintage-posed portraits.
Every detail was infused with the spirit of old-school vinyl and beloved throwbacks. Instead of a traditional guest book, guests signed a framed record, turning warm wishes into a keepsake worthy of display. Tables were named after the couple’s favourite retro albums, each displayed as iconic vinyl records. Even the welcome sign was decorated with classic album covers, instantly setting the scene for a celebration filled with rhythm, colour, and nostalgia.
From the décor to the soundtrack of the day, Suzanne and Kevin created a celebration that felt like stepping into a beautifully curated retro mixtape. It was a perfect blend of sentiment, style, and timeless music as they began their next chapter together.
