While we can’t say for certain, we’re willing to bet that less than 1% of brides (worldwide) say they want a run-of-the-mill, out of the box wedding. Every couple wants their special day to be a reflection of them – unique, different, personalized, exclusive, a rare showcase of exactly their love and exactly who they are on that very day. So while you might hear couples who use similar words to describe their wedding, “romantic” or “modern”, no two weddings will ever be alike.
But it takes a special type of planner who can see beyond the words you describe as a couple, and see who you are as individuals, as people, as a couple. Alexandra Slawek of Boutiq Weddings & Events is that planner. Having been in business since 2010, Alexandra comes to the table with 10 years of experience in the wedding industry and bases her business on the idea that every client should feel like her only client. Her organization and efficiency means your questions are answered as soon as possible, that problems are solved quickly and thanks to her top notch network of Calgary and Rocky Mountain wedding professionals, that wedding plans are made smoothly.
Alexandra also prides herself on working with couples with a huge variety of visions, from classic wedding days to vintage and rustic to culturally infused East Indian celebrations, Alexandra has experience (and enjoyment!) of planning weddings and events of all sorts.
Boutiq Weddings & Events provides wedding planning packages of all ranges, from Full Planning Services, where Alexandra and her team take care of your wedding day from start to finish, to Partial Planning Services, covering specific aspects of your wedding. The most fun wedding I ever did…Disney Princesses meet Star Wars. Half the room was decorated in Disney Princesses tables and the other was decorated in Star Wars planets tables. The bride also hired “Forever Princess Parties” and a company that has gentlemen who volunteer to dress up as Star Wars characters, like storm troopers and Darth Vader; these characters came and mingled with the guests at cocktail hour. Also, she invited her guests to dress up as Disney princess characters or Star Ward characters and many of them did. It was so much fun to watch, and the guests really enjoyed it.
