My inspiration for my bridal line of jewelry comes from many sources such as the gemstones, crystals and pearls I design with, the influences of bridal and fashion magazines and my own personal style. A large part of my inspiration also comes from partnering on ideas with my retailers and designing with brides on custom pieces. Each and every bride I work with has their own taste and style and that combined with the cues from the design of the gown and my own aesthetics we can come up with something pretty unique and personal. I always take a little something new away from these experiences and they will often show up subtlety in other pieces of my line sooner or later.
I have to admit on occasion if I get really get stuck creatively I will grab a glass of wine, turn on the music and go into my studio and pull out materials I wouldn’t usually put together and just start experimenting. This can be a great way to find inspiration too!
