From the Creative Team
On a snowy, November day in the countryside of Central Alberta, a team of incredible local vendors came together to great a cozy but decedent winter themed styled shoot at the beautiful Sweet Haven Barn. The inspiration for the shoot stemmed from the luxurious burgundy and peach florals, paired with dark greenery and eucalyptus garlands. The warmth from the large brick fireplace, paired with the richness of the burgundy and peach florals from Blue Door Florals, to the incredible vintage furniture and decor from Love and Lace Vintage Rentals created the perfect moody and vintage ambience we were striving for. The Maby Studio’s rich velvet table runners and delicate chiffon drapery used on the arbour tied each element together perfectly. The gold flakes, vellum wax seals, and velvet paper used in the stationery from The Marquise Studio rounded out the day. Our real couple, Mackenzie and Tyson were gems to work with. Allison Clare Makeup Artistry created a soft, vintage look with Mackenzies’ makeup and up-do, which featured a stunning gold floral headpiece. The intricate lace details on Mackenzie’s dress from Novia Mia finished her look. While Mackenzie was adorned in the bright and airy bridal suite, Tyson enjoyed the lounge area in the barn’s loft. Special thank you to Andrew MacKay who captured the beautiful details of the day and Vesta Weddings for the tremendous behind the scenes planning and organisation. It was incredible to see each of these vendors shine in their expertise and what can be created when we collaborate together!
