Samantha and Stephen celebrated their dream wedding weekend in paradise on the breathtaking private island of Discovery Coron in Palawan, Philippines. From the beginning, they decided to give the experience their all—and the result was nothing short of unforgettable. Their four-day wedding weekend was beautifully orchestrated. It was filled with love, intention, and cultural richness. From prenuptial festivities and a golden-hour welcome party to the ceremony, reception, afterparty, and even post-wedding recovery events, every moment was crafted with care.

What made the celebration truly one-of-a-kind was that the entire island was reserved exclusively for Samantha, Stephen, and their 160+ guests. Many had traveled across the world to be there—most visiting the Philippines for the very first time—so the couple thoughtfully curated an experience that went far beyond a traditional destination wedding.

Intentional Details & Immersive Guest Experience

Samantha and Stephen took pride in personalizing every element of the weekend. Guests were welcomed with custom-designed packets, signature cocktails, personalized playlists echoing throughout the island, and even resort staff wearing “Samantha & Stephen” shirts. Custom TV displays and an immersive light show made the entire resort feel like it was built around their love story.

A Celebration of Culture and Heritage

One of the most meaningful aspects of the celebration was the intentional blending of cultures. Samantha, who is Filipino and Catholic, and Stephen, who is Jewish-American, found thoughtful ways to honour both of their backgrounds throughout the weekend.

Filipino elements included cultural showcases, a lively tinikling dance competition, and balut tastings that sparked plenty of laughter and camaraderie. For the ceremony and reception, Catholic traditions were woven in with heartfelt touches.

To honour Stephen’s Jewish heritage, the couple incorporated a tallit chuppah ceremony, the breaking of the glass, and the always-iconic hora chair lifting dance, which brought electric energy to the evening. The result was a wedding that wasn’t just a joining of two people—but a beautiful intersection of two worlds.

A Showcase of Local Asian Talent

Beyond the deeply personal moments, Samantha and Stephen’s wedding was also a celebration of Filipino and Asian talent on an international stage. They assembled a dream team of creatives who turned their vision into reality—most notably world-renowned florist Gideon Hermosa, who transformed the island with lush, whimsical arrangements, and international fashion designer Francis Libiran, whose stunning work added elegance and drama to every look.
