An Adorable Western Wedding With The Cutest Horse

From the Creative Team

No one in Edmonton expects it to be 38 °C on their wedding day but this July 1st, 2021, that’s exactly what Amy and Mike woke up to. Having already postponed their wedding due to Covid-19 restrictions these two didn’t let the hot dry summer heat get in the way of their celebration!

Brought up in farming families, these high school sweethearts planned a wedding day that perfectly fit their love story. I worked with Amy to create a timeline with plenty of room for photos, some much needed downtime, and most importantly time to celebrate with friends and family. The pre-planned downtime proved to be so important for Mike and Amy’s wedding day due to the extreme heat! We never once felt rushed!

Amy spent the morning at her family farm with time set aside for special portraits with her childhood horse named Blue before venturing down to an old bridge on the family property for her first look with Mike. So many happy tears! For the afternoon, we headed to The Barn at Lion’s Garden, which served as the perfect venue for portraits, vows and of course the party!
