From the photographer:
“Marina and Robert knew right from the start that nothing would stop them from having the wedding day of their dreams, not even a pandemic. They shortened their guest list and set their focus on what would be the best day of their lives together and a true reflection of them as a couple. From the moment I set foot in Venue 308 I could feel the joy and excitement in the air. The warm and cheerful colour scheme, the real fruit & floral centrepieces and the groomsmen playing video games in the Walter Lounge while Robert tied his vintage car bow tie, every single detail screamed “This is Marina and Rob’s day.” After the most perfect first look we headed out around Calgary to capture the bridal party portraits. We stepped out of the limo only to be greeted by the most gorgeous lemon yellow Corvette Sting Ray convertible! It was a special surprise from a family friend for Marina and Rob to have their photos taken with! The joy continued through the ceremony and into the reception where family and friends shared some of the funniest and heartfelt speeches ever told. My favourite part was when both sets of parents and the grandparents stood up to celebrate their many many years of happy marriage and shared a kiss. Just when the dinner had finished and the dessert had been served, Marina’s parents announced that they would like to gift the newlyweds with a continuation of the celebration at their home and everyone was invited. It wouldn’t have mattered if every single person they originally had planned to invite had been able to be there. The amount of love in that room throughout the entire day more than made up for the smaller guest count. “
