From the Photographer:
2020 was such a whirlwind for weddings… Couples had to plan, re-plan, adjust, accept and maybe even re-plan some more. It wasn’t easy for anyone making plans in 2020. That is why we are beyond amazed when couples can adjust to the new look of their wedding, still have the best time with their friends and family, AND keep everyone safe. Payton and Austin split their wedding in three, keeping their original ceremony date in June, organizing a separate day for sunset photos in Confederation Park and having an intimate party with their friends and family at The Calgary Zoo in October. Through the multiple times we photographed Payton and Austin, we always noticed just how excited they were to be married to one-another. Payton always had the biggest hugs for Austin, and Austin genuinely loved receiving them. Photographing them was a reminder of what we can appreciate this year. We really appreciated the humour and lighthearted attitude they brought to planning their wedding. But probably our favourite things were how welcoming everyone was and those great dance floor moves! Payton and Austin, we can’t thank you enough for choosing us to go through this journey with you, we know you can handle anything together and you’re going to have such a long and loving married life together. We wish you both (and Basil your bunny) the absolute best life together, cheers to you! – Brendan & Adele
