I spent a long time searching for a quote or poem that would do Monica and Mark’s wedding justice, but I couldn’t come up with anything as serene and warm and intimate as this wedding day. Kingdom Come Photography captured the rays of sunshine and the whimsical touches of the day to perfection. Minimal decor make the beauty of The Lakehouse and it’s surroundings. We love Monica’s flowing wedding gown and her sweet flower crown, but our favourite part of the entire day has to be the cuddles and kisses Monica and Mark shared with their daughter. From the photographer:
From our first Face-Time chat, it was abundantly clear that Mark and Monica cared most about natural moments. Many of my clients upon initial contact reference the portraitures I’ve done however Mark and Monica really weren’t that concerned about getting lots of portraiture shots. They wanted something natural and organic with a focus on their family. We created a photographic itinerary which maximized the ceremony and reception, giving us an hour and fifteen minutes to shoot bridal party/portraits at Fish Creek Provincial Park. Although their portraits turned out beautifully (we had gorgeous sun and landscape) it was all the little moments which gave them the most joy: simple unhindered interactions, a look, an expression, a touch; the hundreds of little sincerities which comprise a wedding day. The Lake House is a stunning venue, very photogenic with large windows which offer a lake view with setting sun over the water. The interior is beautifully designed and food exceptional. I just want to say thank-you to Mark and Monica for trusting me to capture such a beautiful day as well as their incredible family dynamics.
