Our recent CB Mini Shoot Challenge gave everyone involved a chance to stretch their skills and try something new. Maria from Cakes In Vogue was challenged with the bohemian theme (although she got some advanced notice) and came up with the stunning cake designs featured on the tablescapes created by Lesley from Magical Moments and Sonia from Enriched Events.
These cakes feature contrasting colours and designs, making each tier stand out individually from the other. It’s almost like each cake is three cakes in one. Using hand molded sugar paste to create the 3D geometric pattern on the bottom layer, each triangle has edible gold metallic detail on the edge. The top tier of the cake is hand painted with a beautiful lace pattern, which when paired with the hand molded flowers tones them down.
