How cute is this wintery engagement session from Photography by Ashley J?! Filled with hot cocoa and marshmallows, ice skating and cozying up around the fire, Laura and Michael can barely take their eyes off each other. Quintessentially Canadian in every way, this engagement session is right in time for the fresh blanket of white snow we got this weekend!

I had a wonderful afternoon at the Glendale Community Centre Rink with this lovely couple; Laura and Michael. They were both thrilled we got to do a wintery engagement session and choose to go skating!
These two lovebirds met at the Alberta Children’s Hospital a couple of years ago through a camp for teens with Cerebral Palsy. They started talking and hanging out together throughout the two weeks they were there, and went on their first date shortly after. Laura was moving back to Victoria at the time to further her education, but they promised each other they would keep in touch since. Well over the next 10 days they both felt they didn’t want to completely part ways, and decided to give a long distance relationship a try. And the rest is history!
I cannot wait to celebrate with them this summer when they tie the knot at the Al Azhar Shriners Centre here in Calgary this July!
