We all have a little bit of a fairy tale dream in us, don’t we? It doesn’t have to be your whole wedding dream – or even a fraction of your wedding dream, but I think that it’s safe to say that if you’ve imagined waltzing into a room in an incredible dress and tiara, or even ruling a kingdom from a throne or even fighting (and winning) an epic and moral battle, you’re not alone!
Why not bring those dreams to life! Feeling influenced and excited about Angelina Jolie’s latest flick, Maleficent, Erin Henderson of Touch of Pink Photography decided to partner up with some awesome Calgary wedding professionals like Wishahmon and create a little fairy tale wedding shoot. You might remember Erin from Touch of Pink Photography as she was a part of the Calgary Bride team that took all of our photo booth shots at The Wedding Fair last January. Here’s what Erin had to say about this fairy tale wedding shoot.
With the new ‘Maleficent’ movie by Disney all a buzz, I couldn’t resist the temptation to do a fairytale inspired shoot. Partnered with Wishahmon’s amazing gowns and Ca Va Bien’s creative mind Cassidy, I think we were able to highlight some Disney princess-esque wedding day looks. Wishahmon features both stunning edgy couture gowns, and classic elegant looks to choose from and I think the gowns we used contrasted that perfectly. Cassidy pulled out all the stops to contrast dark smoky eyes against soft subtle color in two hair and makeup looks that most brides would die for! And what is a fairytale shoot without a handsome prince? Derks Formalwear outfitted our groom for the day in a stunning tuxedo paired with the popular blush as well as classic white showing the versatility of having a tailored tuxedo showing off your man’s best assets! The photos came out clean and luxurious with a hint of some glitter for fun!
