Jasper Flower Child Wedding

Each of the details was so well thought out by our planners and came together flawlessly and truly captured, bottled and delivered the feeling of being an elegant flower-child escaping to the wooded feet of the rocky mountains in Jasper, Alberta.

The ambiance of the venue is an elegant woodsy feel and is just 10 minutes outside the town of Jasper which makes it feel more secluded than it truly is. You can easily get taken away in the space and feel like you are part of the nature surrounding you. For our boho theme we pulled together terracotta, rust and peach tones and then pulled in emerald green to really stand out and be a show stopper accent. Green is littered over the landscape in the form of trees, shrubs and mosses. Green symbolizes nature, tranquility, vibrance and creativity. Our emerald accents were brought into the design in various ways including the ring box and name stones on each place setting. We wanted to create a vibe, a feeling that really brought together an eclectic boho natural colours, textures, details, florals with the feeling of being in the woods.

Inspiration, fun, creativity and motivation is so important for creative business owners. It is our goal to continue pushing forward, growing and creating better work and a big part of that is working on projects that really bring out our passion for what we do. Being able to create without the pressure on a real wedding day is something that makes a styled shoot special, it is an opportunity to step away from the rhythm and the typical routine that we have. This styled shoot was part of a larger weekend event called The Other Side Wedding Workshop, where the focus is to educate creatives in growing their businesses. We knew from the beginning that part of this workshop would be focused on that but we also knew that it’s so important when working in a creative field to stay inspired and excited. So my co-host and I partnered with Primrose Event Planning and Design to create a truly amazing styled shoot! Our goals were to showcase the beauty of our mountain venue, feature a colour palette of gorgeous colours including ones we think will be stand out for the upcoming year, create a beautiful woodsy-boho vibe and include models that represent a range of beauty across culture and race highlighting the importance of representation in media. It is an opportunity to showcase something that is important to the creator.
