This Calgary city chic summer wedding with formal black tie apparel and a stunning champagne photoshoot leaves us dreaming of the perfect day.
From the Creative Team:
Megan and Matt postponed their original May 2021 date to August 2021 in hopes for travel to open up in the summer for her family to fly in. The universe aligned for them to move forward with their August wedding date and original guest list to have their family and friends from different countries in attendance.
This celebration was full of a whole lot of love and a vendor dream team. Megan spent the day getting ready in the stunning bridal suite at Venue 308 while the guys enjoyed the grooms suite downstairs. Megan and Matt dreamed of having a modern, romantic wedding and wanted to play off of the stunning brick wall features of the venue but bringing in colour. The design was created to reflect their style of a couple and important elements they wanted to include in the day. We brought in whimsical touches from colorful florals styled in loose, Garden style design from the custom, floating ceremony installation that was re-purposed for the backdrop to the sweetheart table, adding blooms to the base of each side to look like the signs had a growing garden at the bottom and stunning centerpieces created in low vessels hosting protuding blooms. Soft white linens, gold cutlery and clear ghost chairs were the perfect finishing touches to the main decor pieces while additional decor accents from custom signs and menus were brought in from hues of peach to beige. After Megan and Matt celebrated their ceremony, they kicked off the cocktail reception with a champagne tower and headed outside to explore City Rooftops with their bridal party for photos while guests enjoyed amazing canapes by the catering team where during this time the ceremony space was flipped to the reception space! Once guests were seated for dinner the bridal party joined through epic introductions including funny props such as a mini kids car!
They enjoyed a beautiful 3 course dinner and then they kicked off the reception with their first dances that included a stunning outfit change for Megan, following a super fun “La Houra Loca” with props from masks and beads, and live dancers who joined in and got the guests up and ready to dance the night away!
