Modern Elegant Winter Wedding with Navy and Burgundy Details

Kate and Brent’s wedding day will forever be a special one for us. In the world of Covid-19 and with all the feelings of uncertainty this year, their wedding day brought us so much hope. Their original wedding day plans looked different with a larger guest list of friends and family and a venue location in Edmonton. However because of Covid-19 they sacrificed their numbers to keep to a safe number of guests and moved their venue to the beautiful Malcolm Hotel in Canmore, Alberta. We know cutting down the numbers of friends and family is a tough decision, especially for such a loving, caring couple like Kate and Brent. We really saw how much the guests that weren’t at the wedding meant to them when they appeared through video at the reception. We don’t think there was a dry eye watching those messages and we just know it meant the absolute world to them seeing all their faces and video messages. Kate and Brent’s wedding was beautiful; the mountains were snowy, the sun was peeking through the clouds and the air was brisk, for their first look and bridal party photographs. Canmore really is a spectacular part of Alberta; we are so lucky to have those gorgeous mountains in our backyard. Kate and her sister were so much fun to photograph, they have that amazing sibling love where you have a whole language and tons of jokes only your sibling would get. The Malcolm Hotel hosted Kate and Brent’s wedding ceremony and reception. The patio of the Malcolm provided a direct view of the Three Sisters during the ceremony and we were so in love with the big beautiful chandelier and large fireplace right at the main entrance. We just had so much fun with the energy of Kate, Brent, their friends and family. There is something so special about celebrating two really wonderful people it drives our creativity and makes us smile all the way through processing. We can’t thank Kate and Brent enough for choosing us to be their wedding photographers!
