Alyssa and Nolan were married on February 15, 2020 at the Enjoy Centre in St. Albert. One of the unique things about their day is that they planned two ceremonies: one legal ceremony for just immediate family, with an officiant to make everything legal, followed by one symbolic ceremony so they could have Nolan’s uncle marry them in front of their friends and family. I absolutely loved this personal touch! It means so much more when you have someone you love standing up there with you. They’re able to share personal stories, and it makes for an even more memorable experience for everyone. It also means that as a bride and groom, you’re able to slow down and enjoy the ceremony a little more, as the nerves have worn off a tiny bit!

For the decor, Alyssa had a large hand in everything. Keeping it simple and polished, the green and gold colours worked so well with the Moonflower room at the Enjoy Centre. She even was there the night before the wedding to help set it all up and make sure it was how she dreamed it would be. 

They also wanted to involve their guests from start to finish – for their first dance, Alyssa and Nolan gave each of their guests sparklers to light as they gathered around to watch their dance. It made for beautiful photos as well as a moment for guests to pause and celebrate with the couple together! 

Their families were so laid back and supportive for their wedding day and it shows! Alyssa and Nolan celebrated their honeymoon shortly after their wedding in the French Polynesia.
