Romantic Elegant Winter Wedding

It was quite an easy decision for us to pick UBC Boathouse as our wedding venue as it was the same place where our relationship began. We wanted to go back to where it all started and make it a full circle. With the help of our wedding planner Brynn at Dream Group, we decided to use green, pink and gold as our main color themes to reflect an early spring wedding. We also used lots of candles to decorate our wedding venue and it was purely magical. Especially at night, the candles made the venue look like a winter wonderland. It was without hesitance to choose Farawayland Weddings as our wedding photographers because we had already become acquainted when they shot our engagement photos. We knew their photos would reflect how we truly felt on that special day – blessed to call each other husband and wife and surrounded by the love from our family and friends. When we look back on this wedding day, it was everything that we could have asked for and so much more – from the hilarious door games orchestrated by the bridesmaids in the morning, to the traditional tea ceremonies in the afternoon, then came the wedding night filled with laughter and dances. We were also incredibly grateful to the amazing vendors who helped make this day unforgettable – Ritz Catering and Hot Wax Entertainment. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting about the good food and music they enjoyed at the party. It was the last big event we had before the whole world went into lock down a few days later which made our wedding day even more special. Our gratitude is beyond measure to have been able to celebrate our love for each other and share these beautiful moments in person with the ones that we cherish.
