The Sweetest Boho Mountain Elopement with a Gorgeous Family

In November of 2019, I met Cass at a coffee shop to chat all about her plans for her wedding day. Cass & Kenny planned on getting married at Fort Edmonton Park with their little daughter Olivia all of their closest family & friends in attendance. Fast forward to 2020 & the couple was faced with the decision to wait out COVID, or change their their plans. These two decided that instead of waiting, they were going to elope. They picked the Rocky Mountains, specifically Jasper Alberta, to create a day to remember. Their ceremony took place at the beautiful Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge where they have an elopement package all organized for the couple which made everything super easy! Despite a photographer & hair & makeup artist being included in the package, the couple chose to bring myself and Sheena Rae Beauty to capture their day & I will be forever grateful because it was one of the most magical, simple, and special days that I have been a part of. We even got to be the witnesses on their wedding certificate which is so cool!

After their ceremony, Sheena & I knew we wanted to do something special with the couple & Olivia, so with the help of Dana Smyl Designs we created a cute little ‘picnic’ setup nestled away in the Rocky Mountains where they could enjoy some time as a family, eat their delicious & adorable cookies made by Cake Therapy, and capture some beautiful photographs. We ended off the day with the most perfect location for those ‘dreamy mountain landscape shots’ & said our goodbyes.

When I asked the couple what do they wish they would’ve done differently either planning for, or on, their big day – this is what they said:

“Originally, an elopement isn’t what we planned, at all. When the pandemic happened and all the plans were falling apart, we realized we didn’t want to postpone another year, & at the end we just wanted to be happy with each other married. We immediately said “let’s just elope!” and hoped that no one would be upset we didn’t say anything about it, as we didn’t let anyone know but Seanna & Sheena! Just follow your gut, elope if you want, chase those mountains and trust your photographer!!!”

Although this day might not have been what they had originally planned, it was nothing short of magical, emotional & special. These three (soon to be 4) hold such a special place in my heart & I cannot wait to see what this beautiful life brings them!
