Northern BC became the setting for a dreamlike European wedding editorial, inspired by venue owner and photographer Tyra’s travels. From the rolling vineyards of Tuscany to the sun-kissed villages of Provence, this shoot transported guests to the romance, richness, and timeless elegance of Europe, all without leaving the lush landscapes of Northern BC.

Set at the brand-new Aurora Valley Venue, the editorial was a bold celebration of garden-style beauty, sun-drenched colors, and layered textures. It was a fully immersive experience designed to delight the senses and inspire couples dreaming of their own unforgettable day.

Bringing European Romance to Life

Every detail of the editorial was carefully curated to evoke the feeling of a European summer wedding. Citrus-toned florals, fruit-laden tablescapes, and sculptural blooms created a visual feast, while linens, signage, and hand-painted menus lent an air of refinement and intimacy. The intention was to make every guest feel as though they had stepped into a Tuscan villa or a Provencal courtyard for a magical celebration under the stars.

A Colour Story of Elegance

The colour palette celebrated the vibrancy of a European summer while remaining intimately connected to the natural beauty of BC. Saturated shades of fuchsia, lavender, buttery yellow, and pastel green danced alongside pale neutrals and warm stone hues. Every colour seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, complementing the surrounding landscape while also commanding attention in its own right.

Weather as a Creative Opportunity

Just days before the shoot, a sudden weather shift could have posed a challenge—but instead, it added a new layer of magic. A 50×50 luxury tent was brought in, not as a compromise, but as a design element that enhanced the elegance of the setup. The tent framed florals and tables beautifully, proving once again the versatility of the Aurora Valley Venue.
