Real Wedding at Rouge Restaurant – Erin & James

The vintage house that is Rouge Restaurant is situated on the banks of The Bow River in the beautiful and historic community of Inglewood. Rich with ambiance and charm, Rouge Restaurant is an ideal venue for a wedding, rehearsal dinner or meaningful dinner with loved ones. Chef Olivier Reynaud and Chef Paul Rogalski have independently cultivated their skills in the culinary arts with experience gained in nine different countries. Together they offer the very best in customer service and food preparation.

A dining experience may be enjoyed in one of several different areas of the house including: the Dining Room, the Atrium, and the Parlour. Each offers a warm and intimate atmosphere with personalized service and attention to detail. In the warmer months the outdoor garden and patio are available for dining and private functions. The garden area covers six city lots and is adorned with trees, flowers and native shrubs. This jewel is more than a fine dining restaurant, it is a retreat from the every day.

Today we are delighted to share this sunny real wedding celebration for Erin and James at Calgary’s authentic farm-to-table Rouge Restaurant.

“Rouge Restaurant immediately popped into mind as a venue for our wedding, as it is a place that is dear to us. My husband lived in Inglewood when we met and we celebrated all our anniversaries at Rouge, so it was a perfect fit for us. A delectable and memorable meal was also on our ‘must have’ list. In the end, nothing could live up to the experience and value we knew Rouge would deliver.” – Erin, Bride

“Working with the team at Rouge Restaurant was a pleasure from the very beginning. We wanted a relaxed event filled with amazing food, wonderful drinks and an environment where we could mix and mingle with our guests easily. It was so much fun as we went along. As people that love food, it was a thrill to be able to meet with Chef Jamie and Chef Ren Bousquet to develop a menu and pair beverages to it.” – Erin, Bride

Catering & “Cheese Cake”: Rouge Restaurant

“There are so many favourite memories: my two sons walking me down the aisle, funny toasts, hugs from family and friends, and visiting. Beyond that, cutting our wedding cake! It was spectacular and was a fun surprise for our guests – a pretty tower of cheese! It was so ‘us’ and something fun that I expect everyone will remember. It was completely devoured in no time, so it was a definite hit with our crowd.” – Erin, Bride

“Not a detail was missed by Rouge Restauant, and they included lots of special touches that we had not asked for, such as: lovely wraps for our guests as the sun started to fall in the evening, and being met with a lovely flute to toast each other with once we reached the end of the aisle after our ceremony. It was such an enjoyable experience being able to enjoy our own reception and not have a care in the world. Things were seamless and taken care of before there was an opportunity for anything to pop into mind. Honestly, it felt like we had a built-in wedding planning team. The staff at Rouge seemed to enjoy our event as much as we did, there were smiles everywhere we looked!” – Erin, Bride
