5 Calgary Vintage Wedding Rentals from Cellar Door Vintage Rentals

I’ve got a confession to make – I’m a vintage lover. My parent’s home, my grandparent’s homes, I grew up surrounded by beautifully crafted wood pieces with ornate fabrics – it’s a style that I associate with warm, love, family and of course, exquisite style. Although I’ve tried to incorporate a vintage aesthetic in my mid-century home, it hasn’t had quite the effect I’ve always dreamed. You can’t have it all, so I lust from afar! And today’s post is just that – a total vintage indulgence!

Brooke Torell of Cellar Door Vintage Rentals has antiquing in her blood. Growing up travelling with her parents, searching out the perfect antiques, it was more of a divine calling than anything else. Brooke not only has a keen eye for beautiful antiques, but she also has an excellent understanding of how to incorporate them into modern wedding design. Brooke is also one of the nicest gals around, to boot. We’re so excited that Brooke is sharing her top 5 wedding picks for Spring 2016 – a roundup after my own heart!

Arbour and Victoria Double Back Sofa

This pick is technically two and they are two of my favourite pieces: the arbour (arch) which offers endless possibilities – fill it with flowers, hang lights, or leave it bare! The sky is the limit with what you can do with this piece. Paired with this victoria double back sofa (appropriately named Victoria) that pretty much speaks for herself, it’s a vision of vintage elegance.

Bird Cages

I love them because they are so versatile! They add that unexpected detail and are great for flowers, dessert displays, seating charts, a vessel for card drop offs and the list goes on. Let your imagination be your guide 🙂

Red Velvet Sofa

This red sofa, named Veronica, demands your attention – bold red colour will not go unnoticed. It adds stately luxury to any outdoor garden setting and a brazen sophistication to any indoor decor. Use it for intimate photos with your groom, wedding party or add it as a prop for fun Photo Booth shots for your guests – they will love it!

Antique Luggage

Antique trunks and other luggage pieces of my obsession. I love them because if they could talk, I would love to hear about all of the adventures they have been on! Whether you’re looking for a travel theme, or just need some great textures and various sizes for adding interest to any vignette.

Wine Barrels

Use them as cocktail tables for your guests, a cake stand, a prop for placing flowers on, or on either side of the aisle as you walk down for added interest.
